Raphael Trenker is a Senior Scientist in Biochemistry and Biophysics at Synthekine, starting in September 2023, following a Postdoctoral Researcher position at the University of California, San Francisco from July 2018 to August 2023. Prior to this, Raphael completed a PhD at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research from March 2014 to May 2018, focusing on screening and crystallographic analysis of intramembrane helix interactions using lipidic cubic phase techniques. Earlier experience includes a Diploma Student role at The Max Planck Institute of Biophysics, where Raphael characterized G protein-coupled receptors, as well as a Research Internship at the University of Oxford involving protein expression and interaction studies. Raphael holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Medical Biology from the University of Melbourne obtained between 2014 and 2017, and a Diplom in Biochemistry from Goethe University Frankfurt completed in November 2013.
