Anirban Chakraborty

Anirban Chakraborty has a diverse background in software engineering, with experience in various roles and industries. Anirban is currently the Director of Software Engineering at Syntiant Corp since April 2019. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Technologist at Western Digital from April 2018 to April 2019. From February 2015 to March 2018, they served as a Master Engineer at Broadcom. Anirban also worked as a Senior Staff Software Engineer at Juniper Networks from July 2012 to February 2015. Before that, they were a Senior Principal Engineer at QLogic from July 2006 to July 2012, where they contributed to architectural and developmental work related to QLogic drivers for Linux and hypervisors. Anirban was also involved in open source projects including Linux kernel and ethtool. Anirban's earlier experience includes being a Senior Software Engineer at XenSource (acquired by Citrix) from July 2005 to July 2006 and an Advisory Software Engineer at IBM (Rational) from July 2000 to July 2005. Anirban started their career as a Scientist at Tanner Research from 1997 to 1998.

Anirban Chakraborty holds a PhD from UC Irvine. Anirban also has an MS degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, and a BE in Mechanical Engineering from Jadavpur University. In addition to their degrees, they have obtained certifications in "Deep Learning for Robotics" from the NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute in 2019 and a "Deep Learning Nano Degree" from Udacity in 2018.
