James Wissman

James Wissman is a Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in various prestigious companies such as Syntonics LLC, U.S. Naval Research Laboratory, Carnegie Mellon University, University of Maryland, and Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory. James has a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, where James conducted research in the Soft Machines Lab under the supervision of Dr. Carmel Majidi. Wissman's work includes developing liquid metal capacitive sensing grids, fabricating rubber surfaces for acoustic wave reflection, and creating 3-dimensional stretchable electronics. With a strong academic background and a diverse range of experiences, Wissman brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to their current role.
