Mert ÇIKLA

Mert ÇIKLA has a strong background in software engineering and development. Mert is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at Syntonym. Prior to this, they worked at Giftshire as a Senior Software Developer, where they developed internal backend CRUD apps and automation tools using Python. Mert also led a team in building complex pipelines for design automation in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Additionally, Mert designed a new software stack to be outsourced, aimed at improving the existing legacy codebase.

Before Giftshire, Mert worked as a Research Assistant at Turkish-German University. In this role, they assisted with programming, algorithms, and data structures courses. Mert also automated parts of the department's course-scheduling using open-source software. Mert built and maintained a web application that displayed custom student schedules in a calendar-like format.

Mert ÇIKLA completed their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering from Izmir University of Economics between 2007 and 2015. Mert then pursued a Master's Degree in Computer Engineering at Boğaziçi University from 2016 until 2019. Additionally, they obtained a certification in Quantum Mechanics and Quantum Computation from edX in August 2013.
