Gabe has held leadership positions in various companies, starting with Central & Southwest Corp in 1992, where they worked as a Communications Network Engineer, overseeing the development of communication networks in South and Central Texas. Gabe then joined Ericsson in 1994 as a Network Solutions Engineer, where they engineered and validated communication networks throughout North and South America.

In 1996, Gomez joined GST Telecom as a Sr. Data/Sales Engineering Manager, leading a team in architecting the company's National IP Service Network. Gabe was responsible for vendor evaluation, selection, and successful implementation of the network. In 2000, Gomez moved to Electric Lightwave as a Product Development/Sales Engineering Manager. From 2009 to 2011, they worked at Syringa Networks as a Technical Services team member, focusing on product development and complex solution selling. Gabe negotiated MSAs with carriers and implemented a CRM system to enhance sales tracking and process efficiency. Gomez then became the General Manager of Syringa Networks' Utah and Eastern Idaho operations, establishing the company as a telecommunications carrier in the state and negotiating various legal agreements.

Currently, Gomez serves as the Vice President of Customer Experience at Syringa Networks. In this role, they are responsible for all aspects of customer engagement, revitalizing existing and creating new products, and setting product growth strategy. The company's product suite includes Internet service, Broadband Service, IoT, Cloud services, Managed Edge products, and Voice and Collaboration services.
