Pravinda Perera

Pravinda Perera is a Software Architect and Engineering Lead at Sysco since December 2021, providing technical and architectural guidance to teams of engineers on a Kafka-based streaming platform. Previous roles at Sysco include Associate Software Architect and Senior Technical Lead, where Pravinda led initiatives like the internationalization of the Sysco Shop application and managed engineering discussions for multi-country deployments. Prior experience includes leading projects at Sysco LABS Sri Lanka, where responsibilities ranged from microservices development to backend re-architecture. Pravinda holds a Master of Science (MSc) and a Bachelor's Degree (BSc) in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Moratuwa, along with a Management Accountant qualification from CIMA.
