Oliver Schauer

Oliver Schauer is the Head of Department for Research & Innovation at Sysmex Inostics, where Oliver develops diagnostic assays targeting cancer associated biomarkers through liquid biopsy and Next Generation Sequencing. Oliver previously held roles as Scientist and Team Lead at the same company. Prior to their current position, Oliver completed a PhD in Microbiology and Synthetic Biology at The Philipp University of Marburg, where Oliver focused on novel methods for fabricating bacteria-propelled microparticles. Oliver also has experience in project topics such as chemotaxis-mediated drug delivery to colon cancer cells and genetic manipulation of bacteria for biomedical applications.
