Jon Wachter

Jon Wachter possesses extensive experience in cybersecurity and information technology, currently serving as a Vulnerability Assessor at SIM&S, Inc. since October 2020. Previously, Jon held the position of Cyber Protection Team Supervisor for the Army from January 2018 to January 2021, where responsibilities included engaging with executive leadership on advanced cybersecurity concepts and enhancing team training for cyber incident response. Jon's earlier career in the US Army spanned from March 2005 to January 2018, during which various roles included Information Technology Operations Specialist and Information Technology Security Specialist, focusing on cyber readiness, risk assessment, and security policy development. Jon’s educational background includes a Master of Science in Cybersecurity Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity, both obtained from the University of Maryland Global Campus.
