Frederyk Ngantung

Dr. Frederyk Ngantung joined Syzygy as Chief Commercial Officer in late 2022. He leads commercialization, business development, and marketing efforts as the company enters the market with its light-driven Rigel™ reactors and reactor banks.

Dr. Ngantung earned a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2005 before moving on to serve in technical and advisory roles in the renewable energy division for Applied Ventures. He previously served as Senior VP of Product for Solugen where he was instrumental in securing Series D funding for the company. And he led Technology Strategy and Commercial Development for Amyris and Amyris Brazil, helping position the biotechnology firm for a successful IPO. Throughout his career, Dr. Ngantung has built a solid reputation for developing high-performing teams, fast-tracking the commercialization of new products in new markets, and closing complex deals.
