Jinglei Xiang has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Jinglei began their career as a Teaching Assistant at Michigan State University, where they also worked as a Graduate Research Assistant focusing on graphene nanomaterials. During their time there, they contributed to the development of conductive nanocomposites and phase change materials, resulting in technology licensing and the publication of 11 articles.
After their academic pursuits, Jinglei joined Schlumberger, where they held various roles. As a Polymer Engineer, they provided manufacturing troubleshoot and led new material development projects. Jinglei also played a key role in the development and commercialization of the company's highest-tiered product, generating significant revenue and identifying cost reduction opportunities.
Jinglei's expertise in engineering and materials continued to expand when they joined Omni Seals, a Schlumberger company. Here, they served as the M/P Engineering Supervisor and Polymer Lab Manager, overseeing the daily operation of the materials engineering laboratory. Jinglei'sresponsibilities included managing the lab's workload, establishing KPIs, defining technology roadmaps, and streamlining processes.
Currently, Jinglei is the Vice President of Engineering at TA Aerospace, a position they assumed in April 2023. Prior to their promotion, they worked as the R&D Manager, contributing to the company's research and development efforts.
Throughout their career, Jinglei has demonstrated a strong ability to manage projects, lead teams, and drive innovation. Jinglei'sexpertise in materials engineering and their dedication to quality improvement make their a valuable asset in any organization they work for.
Jinglei Xiang obtained a Bachelor's degree in Material Engineering from City University of Hong Kong. Later, they pursued a Doctorate in Materials Science and Engineering at Michigan State University, which they completed in 2012. Following that, Jinglei pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at UCLA Anderson School of Management and is expected to complete it in 2021. Additionally, Jinglei received certifications in Project Management (PMP) from the Project Management Institute in December 2017 and obtained a Yellow belt in Six Sigma from Schlumberger.
