Valerie Sherman

Valerie Sherman is the Deputy General Manager of Environmental Health and Safety at Tacoma Power since November 2020, with extensive experience in environmental health and safety from a distinguished career at Boeing spanning nearly two decades. At Boeing, Valerie held various leadership roles, including Environment, Health and Safety Manager, where responsibilities included managing data-driven safety performance improvements and leading teams focused on safety initiatives and ergonomic injury reduction. Valerie's background also includes expertise in disability management, OSHA recordkeeping, and affirmative action, supported by a Master of Business Administration in Human Resources Management from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor's degree in Spanish from the University of Puget Sound.
