Chief Test Pilot at Tactical Air Support

Scott Glaser, PhD has an extensive work experience in the aviation industry. Scott is currently serving as the Chief Test Pilot for Tactical Air Support, Inc., where they provide training and advisory services in tactical aviation. Prior to this, they held the position of President & CEO at Aerospace Operations, LLC. Scott has also worked as the Senior Vice President of Operations at Flight Research Inc. and International Flight Test Institute.

Before that, Scott Glaser held the role of Director of Flight Dynamics Research at National Aerospace Research and Training (NASTAR) Center. Scott has also served as a Flight Test Engineer at The Spaceship Company and as a Flight Controls Engineer at NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration.

Earlier in their career, Scott Glaser worked as a Senior Aeronautical Engineer at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics - Skunk Works and as a Performance & Flying Qualities Flight Test Engineer at 411th Flight Test Squadron, F-22A Combined Test Force (CTF). Scott also worked as an Aerodynamic Decelerator Design and Manufacturing Engineer at Irvin Aerospace, Inc.

Throughout their career, Scott Glaser has gained expertise in various areas including test piloting, flight dynamics research, flight controls engineering, and aerodynamic design.

Scott Glaser, PhD, has an extensive education history. Scott obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Aerospace Engineering from Penn State University in the years 1994 to 1999. Scott then pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Aerospace Engineering from Penn State University from 1999 to 2002.

Following this, Scott Glaser earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Drexel University between 2012 and 2019. Additionally, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from the Quantic School of Business and Technology during the year 2017 to 2018.

In terms of certifications, Scott Glaser obtained an Airline Transport Pilot certificate from the Federal Aviation Administration in August 1995. Scott also received a Multi-engine Instrument Flight Instructor certification in December 2009. Furthermore, they hold several experimental authorizations, including F-5, T-38, F-86, MiG-15/17, T-33, MB-326, S-211, L-39, and CM-170. These authorizations were granted by the Federal Aviation Administration in March 2012.

Scott Glaser has also acquired various other certifications. These include being certified as a Type Ratings holder in CE-550/ NA-265 Sabreliner/ C525(S)/ CE-510(S)/ CE-750 SIC/ Do-228 by the Federal Aviation Administration in June 2019. Scott achieved the Formation Check Pilot certification from the Classic Jet Aircraft Association, Red Star Pilots Association & Valiant Air Command in May 2019. Moreover, they are certified in Advanced Open Water SCUBA and Enriched Air NITROX by the National Association of Underwater Instructors in August 2000.
