James Barry

CTO at Taekion

James Barry is the CTO at Taekion, where they are responsible for designing the architecture, building the technical strategy, creating the intellectual property portfolio, recruiting the technical team and managing code releases. James has also held positions as the Founder and Strategic Advisor at BlocGroup, Corporate Advisor to multiple companies, Interim CEO at Mindful Science, and CEO at Duly Inc. In addition, they have served as a Developer Ecosystem Executive and Silicon Valley City Leader at IBM and VP of Customer Success and Operations at Cloud Elements.

James has a passion for building security software platforms to protect core critical data from inception to storage and all steps in-between. James'sinitial targets are mission & life critical data that can not be changed without unrecoverable consequences. James'slong term roadmap includes using their shapeshifting time dependent patents to ensure that data remains safe and compliant.

James is currently working on several Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Grants from the US Dept. of Energy, US National Science Foundation and US Air Force. James has also signed a partnership with Blockchain Technology Partners for technology and sales go to market. James is building out a three layer trusted network platform based on core Blockchain immutability, network moving layer defense and network cloaking. Additionally, they are building an Asynchronous Byzantine Fault Tolerant (aBFT) consensus mechanism under a grant from the National Science Foundation. James'score tech is at the packet level, as well as using asynchronous byzantine fault tolerant consensus for the blockchain at extremely high transaction rates.

James is also building up a patent and intellectual property portfolio. One patent has been granted and several more have been applied for. James is working with initial customers on a full proof of concept and implementation.

James Barry has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Colorado and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Marketing from the University of Colorado Denver.
