Michael Lauer

Michael Lauer is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles. As the Founder and CEO of MDL Strategic Communications since September 2020, Michael has focused on helping clients convey their impactful stories. Additionally, Michael serves as a Consultant at Taft Communications, an Adjunct Professor at Rutgers University School of Communication and Information, and a Senior Associate at Merryman Communications. Michael held the position of President of the New Jersey Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America in 2023 and has previously worked as a Senior Vice President at Hill+Knowlton Strategies and a Director at Johnson & Johnson, where responsibilities included executing global employee engagement activities. Earlier career roles also include Project Director at Davis & Company, Employee Communications Manager at CIGNA, and Senior Associate at Mercer. Michael holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Monmouth University.
