Phil Young

Phil Young is an experienced engineering professional with a diverse background in quality assurance and certification within the aviation industry. Currently serving as Engineering Programme Manager at The Chirp Charitable Trust since June 2020, Phil has held a longstanding position as Quality Assurance Engineer at Tag Farnborough Engineering Ltd since May 2011, focusing on internal and external audits while liaising with industry stakeholders. Previously, Phil worked as a Quality Engineer at ATC Lasham from June 2005 to April 2011, where responsibilities included conducting audits and collaborating with customer representatives. Phil's career began as a Certifying Engineer at Aer Lingus from August 1978 to April 2000, supervising maintenance crews and performing critical inspections on various aircraft types including the B737 Classic and Airbus A321. Phil's education includes attendance at Brooklands College and other institutions.
