Basil Nafea's work experience includes being a QHSE Engineer at Tagaddod since September 2020, where they are responsible for resolving day-to-day problems and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Basil also worked as an Assistant Floorman at Egyptian Drilling Company from February 2019 to February 2020. Basil was an Active Member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Suez University Student Chapter from October 2013 to April 2018. Additionally, they were a Summer Trainee at Khalda Petroleum Company (Apache) in August 2017 and at Qarun Petroleum Company SAE (QPC) in July 2016.

Basil Nafea obtained a Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering from the Faculty of Petroleum and Mining Engineering at Suez University, from 2013 to 2018.

Basil also completed courses such as "The Bits and Bytes of Computer Networking" from Coursera in August 2020, "Introduction to Petroleum Engineering" from Tomsk Polytechnic University in June 2020, and "Technical Support Fundamentals" from Coursera also in June 2020.

Furthermore, Basil obtained certifications such as the IWCF Level 1 Programme from the International Well Control Forum in March 2019, "Introduction to Solar Cells" from Coursera in January 2019, and "English for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics" from Coursera in November 2018.

Basil has also completed the course "Oral Communication B13" from AUC - School of Continuing Education in August 2017, and "Oil & Gas Industry Operations and Markets" from Coursera in July 2017.

Additionally, Basil has certifications in Cisco: IT essentials, PC hardware, and software, as well as "Human Development and English Language" from Middle East British Institute & International British Academy. Basil has also completed the Intel Learn Program and Intel Learn Technology at Work courses, although specifics regarding obtained months and years are unavailable.
