Anthony Smith

Anthony Smith is currently the Head of Bioinformatics and Machine Learning at Tagomics, an early-stage startup focusing on epigenetic biomarker discovery for blood-based clinical diagnostic tests. Prior to this, Anthony worked at Healx as a Senior Bioinformatician & Drug Matching Team Lead, where Anthony led a cross-functional team responsible for generating predictions for disease projects. Anthony also served as a Investigator Scientist in Bioinformatics and Systems Biology at the MRC Mitochondrial Biology Unit. Anthony has a PhD in Systems Biology and Bioinformatics from the University of Cambridge, along with a Master's Degree in Bioinformatics and a Bachelor's Degree in Microbiology. Additionally, Anthony has previous experience as a Financial Analyst at Barclays.
