Charlotte Gillingham currently serves as Litigation Counsel at the Tahirih Justice Center, a position held since February 2023. Prior to this role, Charlotte spent nearly two decades at Crowell & Moring LLP as Counsel from September 2003 to February 2023. Earlier experience includes serving as a Judicial Law Clerk for Chief Justice Jeffrey Amestoy at the Vermont Supreme Court from 2002 to 2003, and a Public Interest Fellow at the Children's Defense Fund in 2001. Charlotte earned a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the University of Michigan Law School (1999-2002) and holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology and African-American/African Studies from the University of Michigan (1996-1998), having also attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison (1994-1995).
