Somaya S. Alshiban

Somaya S. AlShiban has extensive experience in clinical laboratory operations, currently serving as a Chemistry Supervisor at King Fahad Specialist Hospital Dammam since 2013. Notable roles include Total Lab Automation Operation Specialist, Quality Control Officer in Clinical Chemistry Lab, and CAP Inspector. Somaya is actively involved in the College of American Pathologists (CAP) re-accreditation processes and Quality Management and Assurance initiatives. In addition, participation in a variety of committees, such as the Speak Up Campaign and the establishment of quality monitoring programs at MEDICA PLUS, highlights a commitment to improving laboratory standards. Somaya also contributed to research at Taibah University and provided coverage for the Clinical Chemistry Laboratory during the COVID-19 pandemic in Dammam.
