Senior Engineering Manager - Product Compliance - Engineering And Program Team at Taiga Motors

Vishnu Makam has extensive work experience in the automotive industry. Vishnu is currently serving as a Senior Engineering Program Manager at Taiga Motors, where they lead the engineering and program team for electric watercraft. Prior to their current role, Vishnu worked at Linamar from 2019 to 2021 in various research and development roles.

From 2017 to 2019, Vishnu was employed at Ford Motor Company as a Plant Vehicle Team - Vehicle Engineering Attribute Engineer. In this role, they were responsible for vehicle integration activities and led cross-functional issue resolution to ensure the vehicle attributes were not affected. Vishnu also worked on region-specific feature designing and played a key role in meeting attribute deliverables for major engineering milestones.

Before joining Ford Motor Company, Vishnu worked at Ford Motor Company as a Vehicle Integration Engineer from 2014 to 2017. In this position, they led vehicle integration activities for two global programs and focused on total vehicle engineering development. Vishnu also managed cargo volume improvement and bulkhead redesign activity, as well as assisted in designing region-specific features.

Additionally, Vishnu briefly worked as a Systems Integration Engineer at Ford Motor Company in 2014. Vishnu was responsible for developing system knowledge documentation and standardizing future procedures and products based on requirements and benchmarking data.

In 2012, Vishnu founded MESS - Make a difference for Environment, Self and Society, showcasing their passion for environmental and social causes.

Vishnu Makam pursued higher education in the field of engineering. Vishnu first attended Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain College from 2008 to 2012, where they received their Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Mechanical Engineering. Following this, Vishnu went on to study at the University of Michigan-Dearborn from 2013 to 2015, earning a Master of Science (MS) degree in Automotive Engineering Technology.
