Francine A. Safir PMP

Francine A. Safir PMP has over 30 years of work experience in project management and clinical research. Francine A. is currently the Director of the Project Management Office at Taiho Oncology, Inc. In their role, Francine oversees project management activities for the company.

Before joining Taiho Oncology, Francine worked as a Program Manager in Portfolio Strategy & Asset Management at Advanced Clinical from 2020 to 2022.

From 2016 to 2019, Francine served as the Assistant Director of R&D Operations, IPOM, Operational Planning & Capacity Management at Sanofi-Aventis U.S. LLC. Prior to this role, they were the Associate Director of the Capacity Management Department in the Clinical Sciences & Operations Division from 2013 to 2016. Francine A. also held the position of Associate Director of Planning, Resource & Cost Applications Expert in Portfolio Management & Planning from 2005 to 2013.

Francine's earlier experience includes working at Centocor as the Senior Manager of Project Management Operations from 1998 to 2005, at Premier Research as a Clinical Project Manager from 1997 to 1998, and at Novo Nordisk as a Clinical Research Manager and later as a Project Manager from 1994 to 1997.

Francine A. began their career in 1988 at The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson, where they started as a Clinical Research Assistant and eventually became a Senior Clinical Research Associate.

Francine A. Safir PMP has a diverse education history. Francine A. obtained their BA in Psychology from Skidmore College, where they studied from 1977 to 1980. Prior to that, they pursued a combination of Dance and Psychology at Bennington College from 1976 to 1977.

After completing their undergraduate studies, Safir enrolled in the Pre-Med 2nd B.A. Program at Hunter College, graduating in 1984. Francine A. then joined the Behavioral Neuroscience Ph.D Program at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1984, and continued with the same program at Rutgers University from 1986 to 1988.

In addition to their educational background, Safir holds a certification in Project Management. Francine A. obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification from the Project Management Institute in June 2009.
