Takashi Yamamoto

Takashi Yamamoto is a seasoned academic and strategic advisor with extensive experience in economic development. Currently serving as a Strategic Advisor for the Tamura City Government, Takashi provides insights on promoting local businesses since January 2023. As a Professor in the Department of Economics at Takushoku University since April 2011, Takashi specializes in Political Economy of Japan and Development Economics, while also leading research on "Economic Gardening." With a history of advisory roles for various city governments and the Japanese Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, Takashi promotes collaboration across public, private, and civil sectors. Takashi's academic background includes a PhD in Economics from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and a Master in Public Affairs from Princeton University.
