Shon Shampain

Shon Shampain is a seasoned Android engineering professional with extensive experience in leading technical teams and delivering high-quality mobile applications. Currently serving as Sr. Manager for Android at Tala since December 2021, Shon oversees a team of 15 engineers dedicated to providing financial solutions to underserved markets in Kenya, the Philippines, Mexico, and India. Previous roles include Staff Android Engineer at Syng and Sr. Android Engineer at BiTE Interactive, where Shon developed healthcare systems using Kotlin and various modern Android frameworks. Additional positions include impactful work at Evite, Jaumo, and Grindr LLC, where Shon contributed to applications with millions of users and high Play Store ratings. With a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Randolph-Macon College, Shon possesses a solid technical foundation complemented by a commitment to team empowerment and delivery excellence.
