Jessie Gmeinder has a diverse work experience. Jessie began their career at UPS Supply Chain Solutions as a Part-time Maintenance Supervisor in Plant Engineering from 2000 to 2004. Jessie then worked at the University of Rochester Lab for Laser Energetics in Facilities Management as a Co-op from 2005 to 2006. Jessie continued their work as a Mechanical Engineer at Procter & Gamble from 2007 to 2008.

In 2009, Jessie joined Alstom Power as a Senior Field Service Engineer, where they focused on the boiler island and contributed to short-term maintenance goals and long-term reliability objectives. Jessie continued their work at Alstom Power until 2018, during which time the company was acquired by GE Power. In 2017, they briefly worked at FieldCore, a subsidiary of GE Power, as a Lead Field Service Engineer in Mechanical Engineering.

Alongside their professional roles, Jessie also volunteered for various positions at the Society of Women Engineers, including South Ohio Section Treasurer, Region G Treasurer, Communications Chair, and Professional Development Chair. Jessie also volunteered as a Ladder Committee & Lead Coordinator for Paint the Town Cincinnati and was involved in coordinating painting events in different locations.

Their most recent role is at Talen Energy, where they started in 2018 as a Senior Engineer - Boiler. Jessie was later promoted to the role of Principal Engineer in January 2020.

Jessie Gmeinder received an Associate's degree in Engineering from Century College in 2004. From 2004 to 2007, they pursued a combined program at Rochester Institute of Technology and obtained a Masters of Engineering and Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
