Rakesh Sahni

Rakesh Sahni is Research Director. Mr. Sahni is responsible for research to support all aspects of at Talent Edge LLC. Based in the firm’s New Delhi office, Rakesh works in conjunction with Talent Edge’s Global Research Department to support all aspects of the executive search process, including candidate identification, business development and market intelligence. Rakesh is also in charge of maintaining the firm’s database. His industry expertise includes advanced technology, telecommunications, professional services, and IT. In this role, he manages the rare research department inside a boutique search firm. Rakesh works closely with recruiters and clients, first to develop search strategies and then to identify, cultivate, evaluate, and manage prospective candidates. He carefully monitors the software, professional services, IT, Outsourcing and High-Technology markets.

Rakesh brings proven research capabilities to his client base. Over the course of his research career, he has gained an in-depth understanding of client needs and the resources to find key talent. He has developed a keen understanding of organizational structures and research techniques that allow him to identify and track key talent.

Prior to joining Talent Edge, Rakesh served as Research Director at Azba Partners, a boutique retained executive search firm based in Noida. Prior to his tenure at Azba, Rakesh worked in the IT and Operations department at NetPilgrim, which conducted executive-level search assignments on behalf of the company’s clients in professional services, outsourcing, IT, High-Tech industries. In addition, Rakesh gathered competitive intelligence and partnered with recruiters in research development within the company’s recruiting unit.

Rakesh was previously at Inlaks Computers as Director, Systems, and as Manager, Program Management at Mastek. He began his career in Systems Engineering at HCL Corporation.

Rakesh holds a M.S. in Operations Research, from the University of Delhi. He is a Member of the Society of Competitive Intelligence Professionals.
