Kumar Abhishek

Head of Design | Product at Talentnook

Kumar Abhishek has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Kumar is currently working as the Head of Product and Design at Palo, a new product vertical by Talentnook. In this role, they are responsible for developing a cloud-based social-emotional learning curriculum for middle schoolers. Prior to this, Kumar worked at Talentnook as the Head of Design and Product, where they focused on building user-centric learning experiences for children, parents, and schools. Kumar ensured the smooth operation of neighborhood learning across 150+ cities in the USA.

Before joining Talentnook, Kumar co-founded TM online gift shop, where they created and managed an online store with a variety of products and designs. However, due to the pandemic, the journey was halted. Additionally, Kumar founded TaccoMacco, an e-book rental platform for vernacular fiction. Although the venture did not succeed, they built a team and published numerous novels, serving over 800 paying customers.

Kumar also has experience as a freelance Art Director and Editor and worked for RSP Design Consultant's INDIA Pvt Ltd as a Design Manager and Digital Artist and Architect. During their time at RSP Design Consultant's INDIA Pvt Ltd, Kumar led the design studio, managed a team, and worked on various architectural projects. Kumar has also worked as an Illustrator for Roli Books, where they illustrated temples in India for a history and archaeology book.

Furthermore, Kumar founded Universe Video Comics, where they pioneered a new storytelling format by combining traditional comics with motion and interactivity. Kumar created various artistic elements, including art, motion design, UI/UX, web design, music, and storyboarding.

Kumar Abhishek obtained their Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) degree from the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli. Kumar attended the institute from 2006 to 2011, focusing on the field of Architecture.
