João Oliveira Soares

João Oliveira Soares has extensive experience in engineering and software development, currently serving as the Senior Director of Engineering at Talkdesk since February 2021, following roles as Director of Engineering and Senior Engineering Manager. Prior experience includes serving as Head of Development and Scrum Master at BIZAY from August 2018 to February 2021, where notable responsibilities involved managing development teams and ensuring project coordination. João also worked at Glintt from March 2005 to July 2018 as a Software Team Leader, leading the development of logistics and clinical software while coordinating teams and providing technical training. João holds a degree in Systems Engineering and Computer Science from Universidade do Minho, earned between 1999 and 2005, and possesses strong skills in team leadership and project management, particularly with technologies such as PL/SQL, Oracle Database, and Java.
