Bret Mattinson

Bret Mattinson has over 30 years of work experience in various roles within the food industry. Bret is currently serving as the VP of Food Safety and Quality at Tampa Maid. Prior to that, they worked at McCain Foods for almost three decades. At McCain Foods, they held several leadership positions including Director, Research and Development - US Potatoes, Canada and Latin America, Director, Process Innovation - Americas, Sr Director of Research & Development, Potato and Vegetable, Sr. Director Operations Quality, and Sr. Director Tech Services. Bret has also worked at Nestlé as a Technologist and a Quality Assurance Inspector. Overall, their experience spans across product development, process optimization, research and development, quality assurance, and leadership roles in the food industry.

Bret Mattinson completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science at Utah State University, where they studied from an unknown start year until 1991. Bret further pursued their education at the same institution and obtained a Master of Science degree in Food Science, which they completed from 1988 to 1992.
