Daniela Martinez Banda is a dedicated individual with a strong background in software engineering and cyber security. Currently serving as a Committee Member on the Technical Affairs Committee for TAMU SHPE since September 2021, Daniela focuses on enhancing leadership and technical skills for members. As the SHPEtinas Representative, Daniela has successfully organized events aimed at supporting Latina women in STEM, achieving an average attendance of over 50 members. Daniela has gained valuable experience through internships at Google as a Software Engineer Intern, where updates were made to the Google Maps API authentication system, and at the American Bureau of Shipping as a Cyber Security Intern, where contributions were made to develop an incident response plan. Additionally, Daniela served as a Student Research Volunteer at Postlytics, aiding in web development, and as a Peer Teacher at Texas A&M University, improving student understanding in programming. Daniela is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering at Texas A&M University, expected to graduate in December 2024, following a high school diploma from Los Fresnos High School.
