Sam Norwood

James "Sam" Norwood is a seasoned leader and emerging professional in the petroleum engineering field, currently serving as both President and Technical Development Director for the TAMU-SPE, where responsibilities include organizing conferences and training sessions to enhance technical skills among students and members. With internship experience at Apache Corporation focusing on reservoir engineering and at Denbury Inc. on production engineering, James has gained valuable insights into well productivity and engineering projects. Additionally, prior experience as a missionary with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints reflects strong leadership and communication skills. James is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering at Texas A&M University, with an expected graduation date in May 2025.
