Mayu Mishina

Mayu Mishina has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Director of Strategic Communications at Tanager, a role they started in April 2023. Prior to this, Mayu worked as a Writing/Communications Consultant for their own company since June 2016. From January 2018 to April 2023, they were the Assistant Director of Communications at the University of Maryland College Park. Mayu also has experience working at the African Wildlife Foundation as the Director of Content and Messaging from July 2011 to August 2016, and as the Senior Communications and Marketing Manager from September 2016 to June 2017. Additionally, they have held roles at Development Services Group, Inc., Writer for Hire, Penton Media, Adams Business Media, and Ross Public Relations & Marketing/Soulati Media Relations throughout their career.

Mayu Mishina received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where they studied from 1991 to 1995.
