Gillian Riley

Gillian Riley has held various leadership positions throughout their career. Gillian currently serves as the President & CEO of Tangerine since December 2018. Before that, they worked at Scotiabank for over 20 years, where they held roles such as Founder of The Scotiabank Women Initiative, Executive Vice President of Canadian Commercial Banking, Senior Vice President and Head of Commercial Banking, and Senior Vice President and Head of Deposits, Payments, and Lending. Prior to Scotiabank, they were the Vice President of Mortgages. Additionally, they also served as the Board Chair of Roynat Capital, where they provided financial solutions to mid-market companies.

Gillian Riley completed their Executive Education in Leadership Forum at Harvard Business School in 2015. Prior to that, they earned their Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Accounting and Finance from the University of Hartford in 1993. Their undergraduate degree, a Bachelor of Arts (BA), was obtained from Western University, majoring in Economics.
