Information Technology Support Specialist SME at Taos

Andrew Wilkinson's work experience begins with their role as a Security Forces personnel in the United States Air Force, which they held from August 2009 to March 2013. After leaving the military, they joined Green House Data as a NOC tech1, ensuring network infrastructure installation and maintenance from August 2014 to April 2015. Following this, they worked as an IT Consultant at Geek Squad, where they provided support for various client devices and ensured inventory integrity and data security, from August 2015 to June 2017. Andrew then worked as a Delivery Driver at UPS from November 2019 to January 2020. Andrew's next position was at Taos as an Information Technology Support Specialist SME, where they troubleshooted issues, deployed hardware and software, and provided support to over 3000 employees from March 2020. Andrew'slatest role is at IBM as an Information Technology Service Desk Team Lead, starting from May 2023.

Andrew Wilkinson's education history includes earning an accredited technical certification in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance from the College of Western Idaho. Andrew attended the college from 2015 to 2018. Prior to that, in 2014, Andrew participated in an A+, CCNA, and Sec+ Boot Camp at Laramie County Community College. Andrew did not obtain a degree from this program.

In addition to their formal education, Andrew has obtained several certifications in cybersecurity. Andrew became certified in Cybersecurity (CC) by (ISC)² in October 2022. Andrew is also an (ISC)² candidate since September 2022. Furthermore, Andrew has completed various cybersecurity courses offered by IBM, such as Cybersecurity - Network Security & Database Vulnerabilities, Cybersecurity Compliance Framework & System Administration Fundamentals, Cybersecurity Roles, Processes & OS Security, Intro to Cybersecurity Tools & Cyber Attacks, and Pen Testing, Incident Response & Forensics. These certifications were obtained in September 2022.

Lastly, Andrew acquired three Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) certifications in 2017. Andrew received certifications for Security Fundamentals, Networking Fundamentals, and Windows Server Administration Fundamentals from Microsoft.
