Isis Al-Alam

Isis Al-Alam has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Isis most recently worked as a Growth Launcher at Taptap Send starting in May 2022. Prior to that, they were a Quality Assurance Specialist & Project Coordinator at aLanguageBank from March 2021 to August 2021. Isis also worked as a Development Coordinator at ACLU from December 2019 to April 2021. Earlier in their career, they served as a Student Services & Outreach Coordinator at Lebanese American University from December 2018 to December 2019. Isis also worked as a Graduate Student Researcher at Oklahoma State University from August 2017 to May 2018. Additionally, they gained experience as a Public Information Intern at the United Nations from May 2017 to August 2017. Isis contributed by conducting research, drafting documents, and organizing meetings and timelines. Before that, they were an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Michigan State University from January 2016 to August 2016, where they led field research and conducted interviews with individuals involved in Arabic language education. Isis also fulfilled the role of Enrollment Counselor at MAXIMUS from January 2015 to June 2015, enrolling beneficiaries into health plans and resolving issues. Isis started their professional journey as an Arabic Tutor and Extra Curricular Event Planner at Michigan State University from September 2011 to December 2014. Lastly, they gained legislative experience as a Legislative Intern at the Office of Representative Rashida Tlaib from October 2013 to May 2014, working on social services, town hall meetings, policy research, and constituent communications.

Isis Al-Alam obtained a Master's Degree in International/Global Studies from Oklahoma State University, which they pursued from 2016 to 2018. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's Degree in International Relations and Affairs from Michigan State University between 2011 and 2014.
