Ian Aitchison

Ian Aitchison has a diverse work experience in the IT field. Their most recent role is as an IT Systems Analyst at TARA Energy Services Inc., which they started in September 2021. Prior to that, from 2016 to 2021, Ian worked at Flawless Laser & Body Sculpting Inc as an IT Strategy/Systems Analyst, where they were responsible for the procurement, setup, and maintenance of IT hardware infrastructure, as well as troubleshooting and repairing laser and radio frequency technology.

Before their time at Flawless Laser, Ian worked at The City of Calgary from 2010 to 2016 as a Management Systems Analyst in IT Strategic Services. Ian also worked as an IT Support Analyst at Dunlop Ford Sales from 2006 to 2008, where they were responsible for IT hardware procurement, maintenance, and server management.

Ian's career started as an Internet Support Technician at Convergys from 2004 to 2006, where they provided technical support for Comcast Cable Internet connection issues.

Ian Aitchison's education history begins with a Diploma of Computer Information Technology from Lethbridge College, which they obtained from 2004 to 2006. Afterward, in 2007, they attended The University of Lethbridge for a brief period without completing a degree, focusing on Computer Science. In addition to their formal education, Ian has obtained various certifications, including a Business Analysis Extension Certificate from Mount Royal University Continuing Education in December 2015. Ian also obtained an ITIL Foundations v3 certification from Service Management Art in June 2015. Prior to that, in November 2011, they obtained a Webtrends Certified Professional: Analyst Course and a Webtrends Certified Professional: Administrator Course from Webtrends. In April 2011, they completed a 14-hour IT Project Management Methodology Course from the City of Calgary, followed by a 7-hour IT Managing Projects in MSPS Course in March 2011, also from the City of Calgary.
