As a Compliance Business Partner, you’ll act as a trusted advisor within a second line team responsible for supporting colleagues across Target Group to effectively manage regulatory obligations and conduct risks.

Building effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, you’ll provide key regulatory input across a range of business-as-usual-activities and wider business initiatives. You’ll also provide key stakeholders with effective horizon scanning and pragmatic recommendations on relevant regulatory developments and risks

Main day to-day responsibilities include:

  • Support the Head of Compliance with the development and delivery of the compliance strategy, supporting Target in embedding effective compliance systems and controls across the Group.
  • Ensure regulatory knowledge base remains up to date so that all advisory work remains accurate and informed.
  • Demonstrate effective horizon scanning and impact assessment through appropriate recommendations to the Head of Compliance and the wider business.
  • Identify regulatory (especially conduct) risks, escalating and providing rationale and recommendations where required.
  • Provide timely and relevant content/contributions for inclusion within Board and senior management-level governance information packs and MI packs, as required.
  • Provide guidance, recommendations and sign off in relation to update/maintenance of compliance-related training materials, including e-learning requirements.
  • Ensure that policies, procedures and practices are compliant with regulatory requirements, embedding principle-based regulation with a clear focus on providing good outcomes for customers.
  • Act as a point of contact for clients, reinforcing the expertise, passion and effectiveness of the function through good communication and pro-active relationship building.
  • Provide effective compliance input across a variety of regulatory change programmes and initiatives.
