Julie Rockey

Julie became the Chief of Staff of Target RWE in November 2022 where she serves as an influential, strategic leader working cross-functionally to ensure organizational effectiveness through well-defined and transparent goal setting, execution, and continual measurement. Julie is also hyper-focused on ensuring a company culture of enthusiastic employee engagement driving ownership of company success at all levels.

Julie has 20+ years of experience working in the domains of health information management and secondary use of data, spending 15+ years of these in senior management positions across organizations in both for-profit and non-profit settings. Most recently, Julie served for 3+ years as the Vice President of Real World Data Operations for Ciox Health prior to Target RWE’s acquisition of such division in August 2022. Prior to Ciox Health, Julie spent 12 years at Geisinger Health System. The first 9 years of Julie’s Geisinger career were spent building and running Geisinger’s for-profit de-identified data licensing company, MedMining. As MedMining’s first full-time employee and eventual Chief Operating Officer, Julie successfully built a portfolio of work with 17 of the top 20 pharmaceutical companies and at least 20 life science analytics firms. Julie’s success working with industry enabled her to move into a Strategic Program Director role within Geisinger Research leading the publicly announced, strategic collaboration between Geisinger and Merck. Julie oversaw Geisinger and Merck’s effort to commercialize two web-based workflow applications focused on medication reconciliation and family caregiving to chronically ill patients. Julie’s efforts afforded her the opportunity to present about the collaboration at national-scale meetings such as HL7’s FHIR App Showcase, AMIA, HIMSS, Health: Further, etc.
