Nick Barnes has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Nick is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at Tarides since December 2022. In 2010, they founded the Climate Code Foundation, where they continue to work. Before that, they were the owner of Ravenbrook Limited, a company they started in 1997. Nick has also worked as a Senior Software Developer at Altair from September 2020 to December 2022 and as a Senior Software Developer at Ellexus ltd from September 2019 to December 2022. Additionally, they contributed to the Bugzilla Project as a Developer from 2001 to 2008, where they were responsible for maintaining the online database schema and the P4DTI Perforce defect-tracking integration. Nick's earlier experience includes working as a Consultant at Harlequin Limited from September 1990 to December 1997.
Nick Barnes attended the University of Cambridge from 1986 to 1989, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics. Subsequently, from 1989 to 1990, they also obtained a Diploma in Computer Science from the same institution.
