Shelby Whitzel

Shelby Whitzel, DTM, currently serves as the Associate Director of Internal Communications at Tarsus Pharmaceuticals, Inc. since March 2024, where strategic internal communications enhance employee engagement and organizational culture. Prior to this role, Shelby held the position of Senior Manager of Communications at Thermo Fisher Scientific from November 2020 to March 2024, successfully managing public relations and executive communications, and authoring a winning nomination for the 2023 R&D 100 Innovation Awards. Previous experience includes management roles in internal communications and corporate social responsibility at Mitchell International and Godiva Chocolatier, along with corporate communications management at Blue 449 and Polycom. Shelby began a career in marketing management at Chandler Building & Development and completed an internship at Silicon Valley Leadership Group. Shelby earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations from San José State University.
