Ian Miles has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Ian began their career at Connection Group in 1999, where they served as the Group Risk & Administration Executive until 2010. In 2010, they joined Tassal Operations, taking on the roles of Head of Workplace Risk (WHS) and later Senior Manager - WHS (Workplace Risk) until 2014. In 2015, Ian became involved with Seafood & Maritime Training (SMT), firstly as a Non-Executive Director and currently as Chairman of the Board. Lastly, Ian served as Chairman of the Board at Ultra106.5FM from 2018 to 2021.
Ian Miles' education history includes the following:
- From 2022 to 2024, they attended Central Queensland University and pursued a Master of EdNeuroscience degree.
- From 2018 to 2020, they studied at Neuro Capability and obtained an Advanced Diploma of Neuroscience of Leadership. Their field of study included Neuroscience and Leadership, as well as Psychological Safety.
- In 2014 and 2015, they attended the University of Tasmania and earned a Post Graduate Certificate in Management (Leadership & Learning).
- In 2016, they completed an Advanced Diploma of Work Health & Safety at Tas Tafe / Skills institute Tasmania, specializing in Workplace Risk.
- From 2011 to 2012, they obtained an Advanced Diploma of Management from SAI Global - Australia.
- In 2012 and 2013, they attended Polytechnic Tasmania and received a Diploma of Human Resource Management.
- In 2010 and 2011, they studied at Skills Institute - Australia and earned a Diploma of Occupational Health & Safety.
