Jenessa Abrams

Jenessa Abrams is a Features Writer at Tasting Table, where culinary insights and recommendations are shared with a diverse audience. In addition to writing, Jenessa serves on the Board of Directors for New Neighbors Partnership, providing support to refugee families, and is an Advisory Board Member for Off Assignment. Teaching roles include lecturing at Columbia University, as well as previous instructorships at Rutgers University - Newark and Columbia’s Creative Writing Program. Jenessa has also contributed to community initiatives, such as Open Doors and NYC SALT, focusing on empowerment through education and creative expression. Educational credentials include an MS in Narrative Medicine and an MFA in Creative Writing from Columbia University, alongside a BA from NYU.
