Faraz Ahmed

Faraz Ahmed has extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Faraz started their career as a Management Trainee at Tata Projects in 2009 and eventually worked their way up to become an Assistant Manager and Deputy Manager. During their time at Tata Projects, they were responsible for supplier development, operational accountability, liaising with consultants and licensors, preparation of contracts, supplier process improvement, and inventory management.

In 2016, Faraz worked as an Intern at United Biscuits and later at Allegion, PLC, where they mapped processes, evaluated current processes, and identified areas for improvement.

Most recently, Faraz worked at Tata Projects as a Senior Manager and Category Lead, where they oversaw urban infrastructure projects. Faraz then transitioned to the role of Assistant General Manager, leading a large-scale telecommunication capital expenditure project. Currently, they are serving as an AGM and Lead Supply Chain for a semiconductor factory at Tata Projects.

Throughout their career, Faraz has gained valuable experience in supply chain management, project management, process improvement, and strategic contracts.

Faraz Ahmed holds a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management from Purdue University Daniels School of Business, obtained in 2016. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Mechanical Engineering from Bhilai Institute of Technology between 2004 and 2008. Faraz also pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management at the Indian Institute of Management Udaipur from 2016 to 2017. Currently, Faraz is enrolled in the Future Leader Development Program at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, where they will be studying General Management and Organizational Leadership from 2022 to 2024. Faraz has also obtained additional certifications such as Supply Chain Analytics from Tata Management Training Centre, Contract Management Specialist from The Indian Academy of Law & Management, and Advanced Business Negotiations from IIM Bangalore-Executive Programmes.
