Henry Zhang

Henry Zhang has over 8 years of work experience in the technology industry. Henry started their career in 2011 as a Web Developer for Students Helping Students. In 2012, they joined AT&T as a Software Developer and developed management systems for keeping track of AT&T developer outreach events and automating social outreach on Twitter and Facebook. In 2013, they became a Web Developer for Evolving Office Inc., where they created plugins for WordPress enabling additional features such as pulling in data from Google Search and Docs APIs. In 2014, they worked as a Software Engineer for 42 Technologies Inc., where they developed a data warehousing system to move external sales data into SAP HANA and created real time query systems for analyzing retail sales data. Henry also worked as a Software Development Intern for Splunk, developing SDKs that interface with the Splunk API to provide a robust system for third party developers. In 2015, they joined Wish as a Software Engineer, where they automated infrastructure consisted of 1,000 machines and served over 20,000 requests per second using Chef. In 2017, they joined Yelp as a Software Engineer - Search Infrastructure, where they developed infrastructure and platform based on a large ElasticSearch cluster responsible for business search across Yelp. Finally, in 2019, they joined Tatari as a Staff Data Engineer and later became a Senior Data Engineer.

Henry Zhang attended Interlake High School from 2009 to 2013. Henry then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, as well as Economics, at the University of California, Berkeley from 2013 to 2017.
