Marilene van Schalkwyk

Marilene van Schalkwyk is a seasoned professional in the food and beverage industry with extensive experience spanning several key roles. Currently serving as Business Development Manager and Southeast Territory Manager at Tate & Lyle since January 2015, Marilene specializes in providing sales support for custom blended texturising and stabilizer systems. Prior experience includes managing product development and marketing at Plantation Services of NA T/A Gentlewoods Food Co from April 2011 to December 2014, as well as holding the position of Regional Sales Manager at Tate and Lyle South Africa, where responsibility included managing and training sales teams. Marilene's earlier roles included Technical Sales Representative at Dolcre Food Ingredients and Technical Sales and R&D Technologist at Cape Sweeteners, where product development and technical sales were key focuses. Marilene holds a Master of Business Administration from Fayetteville State University and a Bachelor of Science in Food Science from Stellenbosch University.
