Margaret Curtis has a diverse work experience. Margaret started their career as a Member Service Associate at Mid-County Family YMCA in 2008 and later worked as a Student and Research Position at Saint Louis University from 2008 to 2013. During their time at Saint Louis University, they also held the positions of Camp Counselor and Undergraduate Researcher. In 2009, they volunteered as a Research Intern at Danforth Plant Science Center. In 2010, Margaret worked as an Industrial Engineering Intern at Code 3, Inc. and also volunteered at Beauvais Manor. Margaret held leadership roles as Chapter President at Pi Delta Phi from 2010 to 2011 and as Chapter Treasurer at IEEE Student Branch SLU from 2010 to 2011. From 2011 to 2012, they worked as a Monitrice du Laboratoire at Université de Poitiers - Maison des Langues. In 2012, they became Chapter President at Tau Beta Pi. Margaret then worked as an R&D Intern at bioMerieux in 2013. Overall, Margaret has gained experience in various industries and roles throughout their career.

Margaret Curtis attended Villa Duchesne High School from 2004 to 2008. Following their high school graduation, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Saint Louis University, which they completed in 2013. Margaret continued their educational journey at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine, where they earned a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from 2013 to 2018.
