Thomas Arend

Thomas Arend Ph.D. is an accomplished leader in product management with extensive experience across multiple high-profile organizations. Currently serving as Chief Product Officer at Slingshot Aerospace since December 2022, Thomas focuses on advancing space sustainability and enhancing customer capabilities with innovative technologies. Previously, Thomas held key roles at Astra, where leadership of a 20+ member team contributed to the company's transition to a product-led organization. With a solid foundation at Johnson & Johnson, Facebook, and Airbnb, Thomas has consistently driven product innovation and strategic growth. An alumnus of Google, Thomas has a Ph.D. in Computer Science specializing in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning from Technische Universität Berlin, where a strong academic background in Mathematics, Computer Science, and Physics was also established.
