William Perales has over 20 years of work experience. William started their career in 1999 as an Engineer at General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems. In 2006, they joined the University of Phoenix as a Faculty in the College of Information Systems and Technology, where they taught a variety of online courses in the networking content area. In 2011, they moved to The Taurean Corp as a Senior Systems Engineer. In 2014, they returned to General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems as a Senior Linux Sustainment Engineer. In 2015, they joined Alpha 2, Inc as a Senior Cloud Information Systems Security Engineer, where they applied cloud architecture and security principles to new and migrating systems moving to the Commercial Cloud Services (C2S) environment. In 2018, they became an AWS Cloud Security Architect at Manhattan Associates.

William Perales obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance from Strayer University between 1999 and 2003. William then obtained (ISC)2 Security CISSP (ISC2-CISSP) certification from (ISC)2 in March 2007. In April 2019, they obtained the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate Level certification from Amazon. In March 2020, they obtained the Associate Cloud Engineer certification from Google. In June 2016, they obtained the Information Systems Security Engineering Professional (CISSP-ISSEP) certification from (ISC)2. William also holds the CompTIA Network+ ce Certification.
