Greg Lasseter

Greg Lasseter has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Most recently, they hold the position of Head of Production Operations, Cloud, DevOps, SRE at TaxAct since June 2023. Prior to that, they worked as the Director of Engineering, DevOps, SRE at TaxAct from September 2021 to June 2023.

Before joining TaxAct, Greg was the Director of Engineering at Curantis Solutions from September 2019 to July 2021. During their time there, they led the engineering team in building a cloud-native Hospice and Palliative care management system, implemented a change management/release management process, and developed a reusable integration framework.

From October 2014 to September 2019, Greg worked at Blackhawk Network as the Director of Systems. Greg was responsible for leading the product engineering, QA, and support team for the Hawk Redeem Synergy platform. Greg also led the development of an OCR solution for validating product/purchase information and established a system for tracking operational and technical debt.

Prior to that, Greg worked at parago as a Senior Manager and Manager of Solutions Engineering from January 2012 to October 2014 and from March 2008 to January 2012, respectively. Greg also held the role of Team Lead of Production Support from May 2005 to March 2008. During their time at parago, Greg focused on maintaining system stability, leading process improvement initiatives, and coordinating tactical responses to production issues.

Before joining parago, Greg worked as a Software Development Consultant at Raytheon from October 2003 to May 2005, where they designed and implemented a data warehouse for manufacturing data reporting. Greg also worked as a Software Engineer at TRX from July 2002 to October 2003, where they contributed to the development of a travel transaction processing application.

Greg's earliest work experience was at Alcatel, where they held software development engineer roles from May 1999 to May 2002.

Overall, Greg Lasseter has a strong background in engineering, DevOps, and production operations, with experience in leading teams and implementing process improvements.

Greg Lasseter obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of Oklahoma in the years 1994 to 1999. In addition, they received a certification in SCP Support Manager from the Service Capability & Performance institution in April 2011.
