Alex Garmezy has a diverse and extensive work experience in various industries. Alex began their career as a Gameday Intern for the Columbia Inferno in 2006, where they gained experience in various aspects of sports team management. Alex later worked as a Sales and Marketing Intern for the Nashville Sounds in 2008, where they focused on acquiring new business through group sales.
In 2007, they joined the Tennessee Titans as a Media Relations Intern and Game Day Employee, assisting with draft weekend and training camp activities. Alex continued to work on game days for the Titans until 2010.
In 2010, Alex joined Fanteractive LLC as a Development Intern, where they were involved in concept development and video production for the Fanteractive website. Alex later became a Video Production Coordinator, responsible for gathering and editing videos of football players, coaches, and staff for the website.
Alex then moved to Fayetteville, NC to work as an Assistant General Manager / Fanteractive Relations for the Fayetteville Force, a team in the Southern Indoor Football League. In this role, they represented Fanteractive and traveled around the league to promote the brand.
In 2011, Alex joined the Tennessee Titans as a seasonal assistant in the Media Relations department. Alex handled various PR and media-related tasks, including producing team clips, arranging media interviews, and managing post-game quote sheets.
Alex then transitioned to the Corporate Development Manager role for the Nashville Predators in 2012. In this position, they built marketing programs and strategic partnerships to connect brands with fans of the Predators and Bridgestone Arena. Alex later became a New Business Account Executive, focusing on selling tickets, group outings, premium hospitality, and corporate partnerships. In 2014, they were promoted to Account Executive, where they exceeded revenue goals and managed a team of sales employees.
Alex also has experience volunteering for the National Football League's Super Bowl events. Alex worked as a PR Volunteer for Super Bowl XLVI and XLVII, assisting with various PR tasks.
Currently, Alex serves as the Senior Director of Market Development for Taziki's Mediterranean Cafe. Their role involves finding and signing new franchise partners, as well as overseeing marketing strategies and market growth. Alex previously held the position of Director of Franchise Development, where they managed new franchising opportunities and worked with existing franchisees.
Alex Garmezy completed their high school education from 2003 to 2006 at the University School of Nashville. Alex then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Sport and Entertainment Management from the University of South Carolina from 2006 to 2010.
