Edie Ashton

Edie Ashton is the current Chief Information Officer at TCV. Edie was previously with Meridian Public Charter School and The Carlyle Group. At The Carlyle Group, they served as Segment CIO for Global Private Equity and was responsible for leading technology initiatives across the Investment domain. In 2019, they were selected as a senior business leader to draft the Diversity and Inclusion Plan for the IT department.

Prior to their time at The Carlyle Group, Edie created multi-year roadmaps and implementation plans to achieve transform architecture and enable key business imperatives. Edie established and chaired a Data Steward Council and set of data governance initiatives to gain consensus and support for enterprise outcomes such as LP Reporting, Regulatory Reporting, and Operational Integrations. Edie also instituted a data discipline framework and innovated the reporting and interactive data and visualization tools to enhance the experience of investment partners.

Collaborating with business stakeholders, Edie organized a Digital Strategy effort to ensure Carlyle is forward- looking with regard to macro and market technology trends and opportunities.

Edie Ashton has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Southern California.

Their manager is Jay Hoag, Founding General Partner. Edie Ashton works with Patrick Morrison - Head of Portfolio Talent, John Doran - General Partner, and Tim Mcadam - General Partner.
